The Michael and Anne Greenwood School of Music at Oklahoma State University is an amazing community of artists, performers, composers and scholars who are committed to preparing students for meaningful lives in the professional world of music. The new 100,000 SF music school attached to the Performing Arts Center will satisfy the current and future needs of the OSU Department of Music with six rehearsal spaces, specifically sized for different ensemble arrangements with a variety of acoustic features, a 200-seat, “jewel” recital hall with the finest acoustic treatments and features, practice rooms, classrooms, a media lab and teaching studios. This $23M project incorporates cutting-edge audio and visual technologies on display architecturally, while respecting the existing campus aesthetic. Additionally, Beck Design undertook the renovation of the Seretean Center—which will now exclusively house the Theatre Department with the relocation of the Music department to their new facilities.
