University of Oklahoma URP Lab Renovation Building 755, 3rd Floor Oklahoma City, OK

Beck was commissioned to transform a 29,100 square foot vacant office on the third floor of Research Park Building 755 into a premier research laboratory for the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. The space was completely renovated with new infrastructure.

The lab features an open “ballroom” layout supported by two cold rooms, multiple fume hoods, and modular lab benches, all positioned along the perimeter to maximize natural light. Adjacent group office spaces, instrumentation rooms, and break-out areas promote collaboration and research.

Design highlights include overhead utility panels, complementary lighting, seamless flooring, and ample storage. Each researcher will have dedicated bench, freezer, and office space, with flexible configurations to meet their needs. This open design encourages collaboration, while state-of-the-art equipment ensures long-term functionality.
